South Africa and Australia met in Johannesburg, Ellis Park for the last Tri-nations match of 2006. From the 2nd minute the Wallabies game plan was clear. Lots of high ball to the rookie J.P. Pietersen.

Qantas Wallabies Coach John Connolly has named his team for Saturday’s Tri Nations finale against a rejuvenated South Africa at Ellis Park in Johannesburg where the Wallabies’ have not won since 1963, when they defeated the Springboks 11-9.

South Africa will not be able to field winger Bryan Habana for the final match of the 2006 Tri-Nations against Australia after Habana was concussed during the Springboks 21-20 win over New Zealand last Saturday in Rustenburg.

South Africa brought New Zealand's winning streak to an end in Rustenburg with a late penalty from fly half Andre Pretorius. The teams went into half time at 13 all but the hard fought match ended at 21-20.
